Theo turns 31!

Man... I remember when I was 31, don't you? If you don't you can click on the title and see the pictures from the birthday celebrations to help refresh your memory.

We started on Friday by seeing the Brazilian Girls in concert for free at Prospect Park's bandshell. Then we went to Buttermilk and had some good beer and conversation.

Saturday Theo went for a nice birthday run early in the morning while Gretchen and I slept in. Then we had pancakes and relaxed. That afternoon we had a picinic in the park in conjunction with our friend Rusel who turned 31 two days previously - seriously, what are the chances. It was excellent and fun was had by all.

So Glad...

...to be finished with school.

While there are times that I wish I could go back and continue my education I have come to the realization that it is time to move on. I am resolved to it and beginning to look forward to what lies ahead. These last few weeks since graduation have left me with not much to show for them but many visits from friends and family (Rick & Kay, Mary, Gretchen (twice!), Dan, Kaytie) and a greater sense of passing time.

While I want to get out there and move on it's an exciting place to be in - so much ahead of me that will make me yet who I will be. I must make these next decisions with much care lest I pass up a grand opportunity for something which brings immediate gratification.

Thank you all for your love and encouragement as I continue to seek after what is next. A special thanks to my darling Theo who has taught me more than any school ever could about realizing dreams through determination and hard work.

A Patriotic 4th

Theo and I went to DC for the long holiday weekend to catch the last performance of our dear friend Kaytie Morris in the DC Shakespeare Theater Company's season of Antony and Cleopatra. While we didn't get any pictures of the play - which was great btw - we did get lots from our time gallivanting around on the 4th. I hope you all enjoy our patriotic choice of dress, it was quite the scene in DC on the 4th. So much red, blue and white - definitely more than you could shake a stick at. I think Kaytie and defiantly bested them all though with our coordinating sun dresses. What do you think?

We also took a brief stint to Baltimore and saw another dear friend Meghan Helsel - ahhh to be "The Meg((h)ans" again, such a pleasure. We had a relaxing time. We did normal things like eat, drink coffee, crowd around the computer (though I didn't really want any part of that), and we even met her new boyfriend Bill.
