Happy New Year
How to recap the past two months... I'm not sure. Well, some big news is that Noah (our nephew) is poopin' on the pot! Congrats to Noah and family!!! Megan and I went to Michigan over Christmas and I got a rad new CD. Luke Temple is pretty great. I've been introduced to a lot of great music lately and I'm pretty excited about it. I love music. As far as random events, yesterday on my way to work I got off the F train at 23rd St and was disturbed to smell the odor of natural gas. It was strong enough for me to want to hold my breath for as long as possible so as not to pass out from asphyxiation. I was being overly cautious of course, but it was a big enough deal to make national news. Apparently they don't know what the smell was or where it came from, but I did find it funny to learn that NYC is known for all sorts of mystery smells. I think that should be NYC's new slogan, New York, the city of mysterious smells.
I'll leave you with the genius of Daniel Johnston's song lazy:
Well I made some mistakes but
I ain't learned a lesson
that I don't wanna hear about responsibilities
I got less important things to do
I'm lazy - Oh yeah
Lost hopes and dreams down an empty road
see no tomorrow
but I got love for you girl
I'm just too lazy to give it to you
I'm lazy - Oh yeah
Well I quit college and I quit my job
I think I'll quit life
yeah I'm gonna quit again
I think I'll quit one last time
I'm a quitter - Oh yeah
Quit this, quit that, quit everything
I quit everything I ever began
Quit that, quit this, quit everything
I never finished anything I ever started
but I think I'm gonna quit being a quitter
